DC’s Coin Slogan Rejected by Federal Government

Last week the government recognized DC by giving the city its’ personal mint on the quarter. Last week the District of Columbia, the only city the the country who’s people do not have Congressional representation, submitted three designs, each with the words “Taxation without Representation” included.  All three were rejected.
